Adirondack

The one with a glass of something cold, sweating onto the broad flat arm. The one angled back just enough that you stop meaning to get up. The one in every postcard of a New England lake house, planted at a tilt in the grass that says, very clearly, nobody here is in a hurry.

Some chairs are designed. The Adirondack was solved. In 1903, on the shores of Lake Champlain, a man named Thomas Lee got tired of dragging Victorian furniture onto uneven ground and built something better - a low seat, a slanted back, and arms wide enough to rest a drink, a book, or both. He called it the Westport chair. The name didn't stick. The shape did, and it's been showing up on porches, decks, and lakefronts ever since. This collection takes that unmistakable silhouette outdoors, in weatherproof finishes and a colour palette built for long afternoons - from sun-bleached white to forest green, with not a single straight-backed, business-like chair in sight.

Which Adirondack piece suits your outdoor space?

What sets the Adirondack collection apart is how naturally the pieces extend beyond the single chair. Whether you are furnishing a compact balcony or a generous garden, every piece in the range is designed to work together - and to work for everyone.

  • Garden chairs and footstools: the classic starting point - available in standard and reclining versions, with matching footstools for those afternoons when there really is nowhere else you need to be. Choose from over ten colours, from understated white and grey to bold fuchsia, yellow, and teal.
  • Garden benches and double seats: for side-by-side moments - a bench for two that carries the same wide, welcoming silhouette as the single chair and fits just as naturally along a garden path or terrace wall.
  • Rocking chairs: because some gardens call for something slower. The rocking version keeps everything that makes the Adirondack great and adds a gentle rhythm that makes it almost impossible to leave.
  • Bar chairs and bistro sets: for elevated outdoor dining and evening drinks — the Adirondack bistro set brings the same character to a higher table setting without losing any of the collection's relaxed charm.
  • Kids chairs and rocking chairs: the whole collection scales down for younger garden enthusiasts too, with kids' versions of both the classic chair and the rocker available in soft pastel tones that feel made for them.

Every piece is made from durable material that holds its colour through every season, needs no treating or sealing, and cleans down in minutes - so the only thing on your agenda is enjoying it. One design that's outlasted every trend since 1903. Pull up a chair.
